Plastic Free July

Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities.

We understand that going plastic free may seem hard, however, we have made it easy as for you and workplace to get started and be committed to reducing your workplace and even your household’s reliance on single use plastics. It’s a great way to kick-start new habits, especially since stage 1 of single-use plastic ban in WA comes into play by 31 December 2021. Join millions of people reducing their plastic waste.

Workshop
Single-Use Plastic: How to Avoid it and Why We Should! By Jo Bussell is the founder of Urban Revolution
Thursday 15 July | 12pm - 12.30pm | Karri Room (Theatrette)

Did you know that Australia generates the most single-use plastic waste in the world (per capita)?

Plastic comes in many forms and has been so useful in our modern world, though it has created a problem on our planet. Jo Bussell, founder of Urban Revolution, an Eco and Garden Store, will talk us through some simple swaps and easy steps we can all take to reduce the amount of single-use plastic in our lives and our environments.

Jo Bussell is a former Control Systems Engineer, who switched paths when she discovered Permaculture. She opened her Eco and Garden Store four years ago to promote the growing range of plastic free and sustainable homeware, gardening, cleaning, and personal care products that can help us all to reduce our everyday landfill and plastic waste. The store is also a recycling hub and education resource, hosting workshops on composting and growing an edible garden.

Book via the tenant portal. Book and attend to receive your sustainable reusable gift - a Central Park water bottle or a set of 3 reusable steel straws - a smoothie, angled and straight brush and a cleaning brush - all in a cotton drawstring bag. While stocks last.
