Blue Tree at Central Park

Thanks to Rio Tinto’s Rail Network Maintenance team, a Blue Tree has been installed in the Park has a part of Mindful in May.

The Blue Tree project began in Western Australia and encourages people to choose a dead tree and paint it blue, symbolising that we all feel a little blue at times and reinforcing the understanding that it is ok not to be ok. To date there are more than 600 registered blue trees across Australia, raising awareness about mental health and encouraging people to speak up about their challenges. Find out more here

The tree will be in the Park from Tuesday 25 May to Friday 4 June. It's good reminder to check in on your family, friends and workmates to make sure they are ok, or to reach out and seek assistance.

Research shows that mindfulness can help you manage mental health and stress, while increasing your productivity and performance in the workplace. In need of a mindful meditation? Click here
