Iconic CBD tower to transform the heart of Perth
Central Park’s lobby and forecourt refurbishment to enhance the CBD work and life experience

The tallest tower on Perth’s city skyline will undergo a lobby and forecourt transformation of its prime grade business location, set to enhance the CBD experience for both visitors and customers.

Central Park sits within the heart of Perth’s CBD, connecting Hay Street and St Georges Terrace and is home to a group of prestigious companies including Rio Tinto, Grant Thornton, DLA Piper and AEMO.

The lobby refurbishment, which will commence later this month, will provide Central Park customers and visitors with a space designed to encourage a sense of community and a balance between work and life.

Features of the new lobby will include meeting spaces and a business lounge, enabling Central Park’s customers to meet, work or relax in a variety of functional spaces.”
Customers and visitors can also look forward to modern finishes and natural lighting in the space, that will flow through to the city’s only public green space.

Central Park’s 5,000 sqm landscaped park, on the corner of William and Hay Streets, will not be affected by the lobby refurbishment works.

Central Park General Manager Tim Ward said the lobby refurbishment would brighten the existing space and allow for all-new facilities.

“Central Park is one of Perth’s most iconic buildings and we are proud to house established Western Australian, national and international companies,” Mr Ward said.

“The refurbishment is designed to enhance the work-life balance and overall experience of our customers, their staff and visitors to Central Park.”

The refurbishment has been designed by Woods Bagot. Built will carry out the construction contract, supported by NS Projects.

Works will be completed in stages to minimise disruption to customers and surrounding residents and businesses.

The original Brian McKay artworks on the existing lobby walls will remain features of the interior space.

Works are planned to be completed in 2020.
