Blue Tree at Central Park

Thanks to Rio Tinto’s Rail Network Maintenance team, The Blue Tree will be in the Park from Mon 13 Sept to 1 Oct. It's good reminder to check in on your family, friends and workmates to make sure they are ok, or to reach out and seek assistance.

Join Rio Tinto, the Blue Tree Project and Central Park on Mon 13 Sept at 12pm in the Park for a light lunch and a presentation from Kendall Whyte, Founder and CEO of the Blue Tree Project. Enjoy a light lunch for a donation to the Blue Tree Project. *Eftpos will be available.

The Blue Tree Project's mission is to help spark difficult conversations & encourage people to speak up when battling with mental health concerns. By spreading the paint and spreading the message 'it's ok to not be ok', we can help break down the stigma that's still largely attached to mental health.

The Blue Tree project began in Western Australia and encourages people to choose a dead tree and paint it blue, symbolising that we all feel a little blue at times and reinforcing the understanding that it is ok not to be ok. To date there are more than 600 registered blue trees across Australia, raising awareness about mental health and encouraging people to speak up about their challenges. Find out more here.
