Flying Doctor Day is coming up on Tuesday, 17 May, celebrating the very first flight in 1928 from Cloncurry, outback Queensland, to retrieve two patients. Central Park is proud to be hosting a stall set up by the RFDS to sell their new socks this Flying Doctor Day.
Last year was the RFDS’ busiest year on record, with more than 10,000 patient retrievals across WA. The service is critical to those who live, work and travel across our State.
This Flying Doctor Day, the RFDS aims to raise $600,000 to help purchase lifesaving equipment for its aircraft fleet.
Grab a pair of their newly launched Flying Doctor socks to show your support. There are four designs to choose from.
